Barbara Watt, MSW LCSW
Therapist
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I have spent most of my adult life seeking to understand what causes us to do what we do—what makes us happy and content, what needs to change, and how we know when change is necessary.
In that search, I studied many of the world’s major religions and spiritual systems. I explored neuropsychology, biology, chemistry, and psychology. I also participated in my own counseling in the search for deeper understanding.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University. I have worked in community mental health, locked inpatient psychiatric units, hospital medical floors, health insurance, the prison system, and other clinical settings. These diverse professional and life experiences inform and strengthen my work with clients.
Through both profound losses and meaningful successes in my own life, I have come to understand that each person defines happiness and contentment differently. Our views of life and experiences are personal. Our readiness for change varies. Often, we must reach a certain level of emotional discomfort before we are willing to begin the work of change. When that point is reached, we know something must shift—and we reach out for help.
We all have the capacity to grow, change, and develop emotional maturity that allows us greater awareness and control of our thoughts and reactions. This work is not easy, and there are no quick fixes. Change requires choice, effort, and the willingness to sit with discomfort as growth unfolds.
I am here to help you navigate that process, stimulate your thinking, and empower you to move toward a calmer, happier, and more fulfilling life grounded in balance.
Insurance & Payments
Insurance coverage and payment options vary depending on the platform through which services are provided. Barbara works with third-party providers such as Headway, Rula, and Telemynd, each of which partners with different insurance plans and sets its own eligibility and billing processes.
We recommend checking directly with the scheduling platform you choose to confirm your specific coverage, copays, and any out-of-pocket costs. If you have questions about which option may work best for you, we’re happy to help guide you in the right direction.
